Tension Structure Design and Construction for Education and Institutional Industries

Educational & institutional

Universities, colleges, high school, middle and elementary schools use tension fabric structures in a variety of ways – to shield fans from the sun when applied to athletic stadiums, to protect students from inclement weather while walking between classrooms or sitting down at the lunch table; some extraordinarily innovative designs have even given shelter to outdoor basketball courts.

In a similar fashion, tension fabric structures and tensile roofs are being applied to many professional centers such as research facilities, hospital, elder care and emergency centers. These architectural membranes, usually installed in bright white PTFE or PVC fabric, soften the edges of institutional buildings and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere at curbside drop offs, along outdoor pathways, atop parking structures, and applied to entrances.
